On August 23, 2026, Zion Covenant Reformed Church (ZCRC), Christ Community Reformed Church (CCRC), and Cavite Reformed Community Church (CRCC) gathered at Cavite Reformed Community Church in Kawit, Cavite, for their inaugural classis meeting.
At the meeting, the three churches formally constituted themselves as a federation under the name United Reformed Churches of the Philippines (URCP), expressing their desire to walk together in faithful obedience to Jesus Christ and according to His Word.
The churches affirmed their common Reformed faith and confession, as summarized in the Three Forms of Unity—the Belgic Confession, Heidelberg Catechism, and Canons of Dort—and their common Church Order. Through this federative relationship, they seek mutual edification, accountability, cooperation, and a faithful witness to the gospel, while preserving the distinct identity and local responsibility of each instituted church.
The churches recognize that federative relationships do not belong to the essence or being of the church, but serve the well-being of the churches. A local church is truly a church by virtue of Christ’s institution and its faithful exercise of the marks of the church.
Although the churches stand distinctly alongside one another, they do not thereby stand disconnectedly alongside one another. Their unity in Christ and their common confession call them to fellowship and cooperation.
Such a federative relationship is possible only on the basis of unity in faith and confession. The churches therefore enter into this federation as churches united in the one faith delivered to the saints and confessed in the Three Forms of Unity.
The member churches recognize the value of meeting together in consultation, seeking to guard against human imperfections and to benefit from the wisdom of a multitude of counselors.
Broader assemblies do not replace the authority or responsibility of the local church. Rather, they provide a means for member churches to mutually assist, encourage, admonish, and counsel one another.
The churches affirm that the decisions of broader assemblies derive their authority from their conformity to the Word of God, which remains the supreme and final standard for all ecclesiastical decisions.
In establishing this federation, the churches desire to manifest the spiritual unity that exists among the true churches of Jesus Christ. They therefore seek the broadest possible contacts with other like-minded churches, for mutual edification and as an effective witness to the world.
This federation is not intended to be an isolated ecclesiastical body, but to provide a means for cultivating fellowship with other churches that share a commitment to the Reformed faith, sound doctrine, faithful worship, and biblical church government.
The three churches commit themselves to walk together in humility, mutual submission, and faithfulness to the Word of God, while recognizing that their unity originates not in themselves but in Jesus Christ, the Head of the Church.
Their common confession and federative relationship are intended to serve the advancement of Christ’s kingdom, the strengthening of His churches, the preservation of sound doctrine, and the proclamation of the gospel.
With gratitude to God for His providence and grace, the three churches commit themselves to pursue this federation for the glory of God, the good of His church, and the faithful witness of the gospel in the Philippines.
