About the canons

After the death of Jacobus Arminius, his followers set out their views in the Remonstrance of 1610. The States General of the Netherlands called a national synod at Dordrecht, joined by delegates from Reformed churches across Europe. Its answer, the Canons, follows the order of the five Remonstrant points. Each main point sets out the Reformed teaching in positive articles and then rejects the errors it answers.
